Location: Denmark, field based, with regular travel across the Nordic region
Employment type: Permanent, full time
Job Reference: 146
Package: Base salary + bonus + company car + benefits
About the company
Our client is a leading global medical technology company with a long established reputation for innovation in surgical visualisation. They are looking for a specialist to lead their advanced surgical exoscope business across the Nordic region, combined with territory responsibility in Denmark.
The opportunity
This is a dual role. As Exoscope Specialist for the North region, you will be the expert on a surgical exoscope: a digital alternative to the traditional operating microscope, used in neurosurgery, spine, ENT and other microsurgical disciplines. You will identify and run evaluations, lead demonstrations and clinical cases in theatre, and support colleagues across the Nordic countries in winning capital projects.
Alongside this, you will manage a Danish territory as Territory Manager [portfolio to be confirmed with the hiring manager], owning revenue and relationships with key hospital accounts. It is an ideal role for someone who combines strong technical credibility in theatre with the commercial drive to close capital deals.
What you will be doing
- Driving sales of the exoscope system across the North region, from first conversation to signed capital project
- Leading product demonstrations, evaluations and case support in theatre with neurosurgery, spine, ENT and other surgical teams
- Acting as the product expert for colleagues across the Nordics, supporting their opportunities and delivering training
- Managing your Danish territory and delivering against revenue and margin targets
- Building business cases and account plans for university and regional hospitals
- Working with internal specialist teams on proposals, regional public tenders and contract negotiations
- Sharing market and competitor insight with marketing and product management
- Keeping accurate CRM records and forecasting reliably
What we are looking for
- Fluent Danish and English; another Nordic language is an advantage
- Based in Denmark, with the flexibility to travel regularly across the Nordic region
- Degree level education, ideally in a technical, scientific or clinical field
- At least 3 years of successful sales or clinical specialist experience in medical devices, ideally surgical microscopes, visualisation or capital equipment
- Confidence working in theatre and supporting surgeons during live cases
- A track record of closing capital equipment deals in hospitals
- Experience with public tenders and hospital procurement in Denmark or the wider Nordics
- Strong technical aptitude, presentation and relationship building skills
- Self motivated and well organised, comfortable working autonomously
- Full driving licence
Backgrounds that would suit this role
Surgical microscopes and exoscopes, neurosurgery or spine technologies, surgical navigation and imaging, ENT or ophthalmic visualisation, medical capital equipment, clinical application specialist roles, or theatre nursing with a move into commercial work.
Why apply?
This is a rare chance to own an advanced visualisation technology across a whole region, with genuine technical and commercial influence, the backing of a globally respected business, and your own Danish territory alongside it.
