Quiddity Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading global Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its growing US legal team in North Carolina.
This is a senior in-house legal opportunity supporting a growing US business within a global life sciences organisation. Working across a broad range of legal matters—including commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, compliance, privacy and strategic projects—you'll provide practical legal guidance that helps the business operate confidently and compliantly.
You'll be a key legal partner to senior leaders across the organisation, offering commercially focused advice on complex legal and contractual issues. The role is suited to someone who enjoys balancing legal risk with business priorities and influencing decision-making within a collaborative, international environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting and negotiation through to execution, across a variety of customer, supplier, consultancy, confidentiality and collaboration agreements.
• Provide practical, commercially focused legal guidance to the business on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment, compliance, privacy and day-to-day operational issues.
• Work closely with commercial, clinical and corporate functions to identify legal and contractual risks and develop appropriate solutions that support business objectives.
• Support the resolution of disputes, regulatory enquiries, employment matters and internal investigations, engaging external legal advisers where appropriate.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions and other strategic corporate transactions, providing legal support through due diligence, transaction execution and post-acquisition integration activities.
• Help shape and enhance internal legal policies, compliance processes and enterprise risk management practices.
• Provide advice on data privacy and information governance requirements across international markets.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a strategic legal partner to the wider business.
• Collaborate with an international legal team to deliver consistent, high-quality legal support across multiple regions and business functions.
About you
We're interested in speaking with qualified lawyers who bring:
• Approximately 10 + years post qualification experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.
• Strong experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements.
• Experience providing legal support within global organisations operating across multiple international markets.
• A background within life sciences, clinical research, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or healthcare.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• A commercially minded approach to providing practical legal advice while effectively managing business risk.
